"Gutted to be leaving The Jump," he wrote on Twitter. "I wanted to give you an injury update... Seen a specialist, I have a small leg fracture and need to rest for 3 [to] 6 weeks.
"Good news no surgery or cast required. No 'horror smash', small training injury which means I can't compete! Huge thanks to the crew, and good luck to all of the cast."
It's not all bad news though, then! Thankfully for Sir Bradley's fans who've been watching The Jump, he will still be appearing for the next two weeks because of the way things are filmed – as mentioned in the tweets above.

The mixture of live and pre-recorded segments means that there is some footage produced already that will feature in the following two episodes.
Only a few days ago, Channel 4 played down reports that the Tour de France winner would have to leave the show as a result of a previous injury to his leg.
And Sir Bradley himself had vowed to press on with the competition, posting a photo of treatment he received for an ankle injury a couple of days before the first episode along with the caption "The show must go on."
He also told us he decided to take part in the competition because it's not "a celebrity show, this is people from the public eye competing for a winter sports show.
"It's not like we're on Big Brother craving that publicity, or desperate celebrities trying to enhance our name. We're taking up the challenge of this... seven weeks in Austria learning to ski properly."
Digital Spy has reached out to Channel 4 for comment on Sir Bradley's exit.
On tonight's episode, Mark Dolan was the latest celeb to be booted off the show, after landing at jump of 9.2 metres – while everyone else managed to soar over 10 metres.
The Jump airs on Sundays at 7.30pm on Channel 4.
