When Digital Spy announced TOWIE's Gemma Collins would be taking part in ITV's Sugar Free Farm, we anticipated there'd be some moaning as she follows in the footsteps of her co-star James Argent, who appeared on last year's series. And it has arrived!
"I could do with an hour's sleep…" she declares in tonight's episode (January 10) as she spends 15 days detoxing from the sweet stuff.
"'Cause I normally have 10 cans of Diet Coke a day I'm flagging, I'm flagging big time. I seriously feel it, like my whole body's gonna to die."
Upon arriving at the Hampshire farm with her fellow celebs – former MP Ann Widdecombe, actor Peter Davison, comedian Joe Pasquale, showbiz presenter Alison Hammond and Britain's Got Talent finalists Stavros Flatley – Gemma admitted just how much money she wastes on her junk food diet.
"My lifestyle is out of control," she said. "The amount of money I spend on takeaways, I could probably buy a house by now."
Another star who struggled with the lifestyle change was Alison Hammond, who likens chocolate to drugs.

"Chocolate is like my crack cocaine, I love it, I can't do without it..." she joked. "I just get a real big buzz when I eat sweet food, I get a physical reaction and I just feel happy, and then I want another one. My son sometimes hides my chocolate from me!"
This Morning co-presenter Alison has been so affected by her sugar addiction that she even broke down in tears when talking about how it affects her mentally.
"I feel like there's another Alison inside myself that is dying to come out," she confessed. "I feel a little bit trapped in my own body.
"No-one wants to wake up and be super-obese, I tell you that now, but what I can say is I'm addicted…"
After all that, we're putting our biscuits back in the cupboard.
Sugar Free Farm starts tonight (January 10) at 9pm on ITV.
