Laura Carter has become the eighth Big Brother contestant to be evicted this series, just missing out on the final.

The housemate received the most public votes in Friday's live eviction and left the show as a result.

Andy West, Jason Burrill, Jackson Blyton and Jayne Connery all survive and are set to face off in next week's final alongside Alex Cannon, Evelyn Ellis, Hughie Maughan and Sam Giffen. Two, however, will be off on Sunday.

Speaking to Emma Willis after leaving the house, Laura said: "I obviously wanted to be in the final… but this is me, this is a girl who was booed from the very beginning."

The housemate 'expected' the negative crowd reaction upon leaving the house, but admitted that the boos 'held her back' in the early stages of the competition.

The 30-year-old also confessed that "it's been very hard" for her since being nominated by Sam.

Talking about her relationship with Marco Pierre White Jr, she said she was "absolutely mortified… I can't actually believe it happened. I immediately regretted it.

"It's the worst thing I've ever done."

And regarding her friendship with Evelyn, Laura added: "I love her so much, she's my closest friend in the house but I want Hughie to win."
