As part of the series' rebranding for cable, a new host will be picked to succeed the show's most famous face Tyra Banks.

VH1 general manager Chris McCarthy said today (February 23): "We're thrilled to bring America's Next Top Model back to VH1 and partner with CBS Television Distribution and Tyra Banks to reinvent this franchise for a whole new generation.

"This is a homecoming for the series, as VH1 helped catapult the show to cultural icon status as the first cable network to air the show after it launched."

Although she won't be hosting, Tyra Banks remains on board as one of the show's executive producers along with Ken Mok.

The CW axed Americfa's Next Top Model last October after 22 seasons on the air.
