The Great British Bake Off has confirmed a huge change to its format, ahead of the upcoming series. In a special twist, this year's amateur bakers will be faced with a brand new challenge set by the viewers.
Fans will be given the opportunity to suggest either a signature, technical or showstopper challenge (or all three), which will be tackled during the show's very first Audience Choice Week.
If you always find yourself judging soggy bottoms and sunken soufflés from behind a screen, why not head over to the Channel 4 website to share your own ideas for the show?
Submissions close on Sunday 18 January at 1pm, so make sure you rise to the occasion before the deadline! Please be aware the submissions are not part of a competition and there will be no prizes if your idea is chosen (except for bragging rights).
"For the first time ever, Prue and I are going to be sharing the reins for this Audience Choice week. We want to give our brilliant viewers the chance to help shape the show, and see their ideas come to life in the tent," said Judge Paul Hollywood (via RadioTimes).

Elsewhere, Channel 4 recently aired a special festive edition of Bake Off, featuring the cast of Peep Show. The Great Peep Show Christmas Bake Off saw the reunion of David Mitchell, Olivia Colman, Matt King, Isy Suttie and Sophie Winkleman as they each battled to be crowned star baker.
The episode originally aired on Christmas Day, but is available to watch on Channel 4's streaming service now.
The Great British Bake Off and its spin-off Bake Off: An Extra Slice both air on Channel 4 in the UK. In the US, it's known as The Great British Baking Show, and streams on Netflix.
