I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! unveiled its first live trial of the 2025 season, and fans duly delivered their verdict. After an absence of six years, was 'Cocktails of Cruelty' a hit with viewers?

Thursday's (27 November) episode of the long-running ITV reality series saw the 12 campmates rounded up by hosts Ant & Dec as they were informed that they would be performing a drinking challenge live on-air.

Naturally, the cast wouldn't be getting pornstar martinis or pinacoladas, but rather a cocktail of all sorts of nastiness that we'd rather not write out on here. Despite the grossness, it still made for good viewing!

As the group was already split into two teams, they would be facing off against each other in pairs, with the twist being that each campmate was able to pick which cocktail their opponent would drink.

The prize for victory was immunity from the first public vote, with the loser being at risk of elimination. At the end of the trial, the vulnerable campmates were Jack Osbourne, Alex Scott, Aitch, Angry Ginge, Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook and Ruby Wax.

In addition to being immune from the vote, Tom Read Wilson, Vogue Williams, Lisa Riley, Shona McGarty and Eddie Kadi were granted a luxury meal. The others also had the opportunity to get some food, but they would have to do a trial to get their hands on it.

While the celebrities weren't too enamoured with what they had to go through, fans shared their opinion of the trial on social media, with one quipping on X: "#ImACelebrity ALL THESE DISGUSTING MILKSHAKES BRINGS ALL THE VIEWS TO THE YARD!"

"They need to bring back doing the live trial each year it's always such a good watch !!!! #ImACeleb," wrote another happy viewer, with a third noting: "I’M SCREAMING, whose idea was it for a drinking trial to be LIVE?? #ImACeleb."

One user praised hosting duo Ant & Dec for their not-so-inspiring encouragement during the live trial, with the fan remarking: "Wow @antanddec are BRUTAL in this trial, love it #ImACeleb."

"That was so chaotic. Both Aitch and Ginge failing their round. Anything really can happen in a live trial #ImACeleb," wrote one other viewer, while another user described the trial as "manic".
