Married at First Sight Australia aired another twist as a second couple knew each other, with viewers renaming the show in the process.
Following the revelation that Carina Mirabile and Paul Antoine had previously dated - albeit briefly - for a period, there was a similar twist of fate in Thursday’s (March 6) episode as newlyweds Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels met once again.
As they each prepared for their special day, the pair got a shock as they locked eyes down the aisle, with the pair greeting each other following a spell of wry laughter. “Holy shit - is this happening right now?” remarked Rhi, adding that she knew her husband “well.”

“Pure shock - I am rattled,” added Jeff, who quipped that he “couldn’t stop laughing” throughout the ceremony. As they each read out their vows, each party made several jokes about their situation, which was branded “crazy.”
In their respective VTs, both Rhi and Jeff explained that they dated for a month after each coming out of relationships, though opted to amicably separate after realising they were “better off single” at the time.
