The Great British Bake Off host Alison Hammond wants British rapper Stormzy to appear on the show's celebrity spin-off.

In a Q&A video posted to the Channel 4 show’s official Instagram page, Alison was asked whose baking skills she’d like to see in the tent.

"I’d love to see Stormzy bake in the tent, to be honest with you," she replied. "I think he’d be really good fun. And also, he’d drop some bars, do you know what I mean?"

Last year, Stormzy and Love Island presenter Maya Jama confirmed their amicable break-up in a joint statement.

The former couple first started dating in 2014 and had their first break-up after five years together in 2019. They decided to rekindle their romance in August 2023, before going their separate ways again in July 2024.

"We were 21 and 20 when we first met – both at the beginning of our careers – and spent five years growing together and then five years growing separately," the pair shared in a joint statement on social media.

"So this final attempt required a whole lot of figuring out, relearning, and we still think the absolute world of each other, we still care and respect each other, we are still grateful for the time we've had together, and we are still friends and will always be friends."

Meanwhile, Alison confirmed that she was in a new relationship early last year, and addressed the 22-year age gap between herself and her new partner last month.

"I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference. But honestly, when we see the word 'toyboy' written about us, it bears no relation to what we have at all," she said.

"Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me: 'We get it now.' He’s so mature and sensible, and I’m so not."

The Great British Bake Off and its spin-off Bake Off: An Extra Slice both air on Channel 4 in the UK. In the US, it's known as The Great British Baking Show, and streams on Netflix.
