The finale comes after Shirley Bekker, who is among the cast taking part in UK spin-off, took to social media to claim that some of the proposals didn't make the final edit.

"Although you see a total of six engagements, 11 of our cast got engaged," she said. "There were only four of us who did not get engaged and I was one of them."

Meanwhile, a reunion episode hosted by Emma and Matt is set to be released on August 26, where couples will "look back on their time in the experiment, break down this season's twists and turns and be joined by special guests from the pod squad to answer all our burning questions".
