Netflix has announced the release date for Love Is Blind UK – and it's coming soon.

The dating franchise returns to screens with a UK version this summer, with the first four episodes dropping on August 7.

The next five episodes will follow a week later on August 14, with the grand finale and subsequent reunion episode being released on August 21.

The show will see a group of British singles date in the pods without seeing their prospective partners.

They then seal the deal with a proposal, where they'll finally lay eyes on the person they've chosen to marry for the first time.

The UK version is being presented by The Voice Kids host Emma Willis and her musician husband Matt Willis of Busted fame.

In a new teaser trailer, the two hosts are seen aboard a train, with Matt reading a newspaper with the front page headline: "The UK falls back in love with love".

A train inspector soon walks past, asking to check passenger tickets before he's distracted by some disgruntled noises coming from the train toilet.

"Is everything alright?" he enquires, with a female Welsh voice replying: "I'm sick, sick of these apps, man. I've swiped about a hundred people since Doncaster."

"You must have very strong thumbs," replies the inspector, then chastising himself at his poor flirting efforts. But the voice from the toilet seems interested, complimenting his voice.

"Would you like to," she begins, before the inspector cuts in and suggests "...to grow old together? To get a two-up, two-down and a dog called Mark?"

The two settle on a drink to start instead.

The exchange doesn't go unnoticed by our Love Is Blind hosts, with Emma asking: "Can you fall for someone without ever setting eyes on them?"

"Let’s find out," replies Matt, as the Love Is Blind UK release date is revealed.

"This series will uncover whether looks, race or age do matter, or if love really is blind," teases the official synopsis. The season will consist of 11 episodes, with staggered release stages on the streaming service.

Love Is Blind UK arrives on Netflix on August 7.
