Celebrity Gogglebox stars Bez and Shaun Ryder aren't expecting to parlay their reality show success into an appearance on Countdown.
The pair have actually done well on competition shows — Shaun came runner-up in the jungle on I'm a Celebrity while Bez actually won Celebrity Big Brother back in the day. He even beat Jackie Stallone!
The Happy Mondays duo had a realistic chat about their chances on Countdown while watching the show during Celebrity Gogglebox on Friday (July 15).

"Imagine us solving mathematical equations," Bez quipped, with Shaun scoffing immediately: "Oh no, I can't do that."
Bez agreed: "That ain't happening!"

That said, the duo did test themselves with general knowledge. Bez knew a continent is just a "big country", then even directed Shaun how to figure out a numerical question.

Whether or not the duo end up on Countdown one day, we can expect them to bring us many more hilarious memories on Celebrity Gogglebox this series.
In the past, the musicians have shared their struggles with operating a mobile phone and Shaun's hopes of raising a full henhouse filled with "battery-operated chickens".
Hallelujah, indeed! The kicker for the Countdown segment is that the celebrity cast on Friday included the game show's former co-host Carol Vorderman – who has seemingly survived after being put off sex by Gyles Brandreth on last week's Celebrity Gogglebox.
