Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford won't be giving up his day job as a roofer for one reason – he's got to pay his mortgage.
The Channel 4 favourite has made audiences laugh alongside his sister Sophie for over five years, but the show's £1,500 monthly rate isn't enough to live off.
When asked if he would give up his job, Pete said: "I have got to pay my mortgage somehow." However, he's also not interested in following in the footsteps of I'm A Celebrity winner Scarlett Moffatt and appearing on another reality show because "nothing beats sitting on the sofa" (via The Sun).

Earlier in the year, Pete brought on his baby son Jimmy, who he welcomed in September 2021, during the April 22 episode of the reality TV show as they played an adorable game with his cute dog, Colin.
The rare footage of the father-and-son bonding was a hit with fans, one viewer saying: "Pete's baby though (and Colin, of course)."

However, this isn't the first time Jimmy was introduced, as fans got their first glimpse back in September. They saw him lying in his dad's arms, and it was a massive hit, with viewers getting emotional witnessing Peter being a first-time dad.
However, the sweet moment was ruined when Jimmy unexpectedly passed gas, leading the siblings into hysterics.
Pete asked his baby: "Have you just sharted?" before claiming that his son definitely "takes after his dad".
Gogglebox airs on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
