Coronation Street star Maureen Lipman has criticised Celebrity Gogglebox after announcing her exit from the reality show, claiming that producers weren't interested in airing funny moments that she provided.
The actress, who plays Evelyn Plummer on Corrie, previously appeared on Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox alongside her friend, broadcaster and writer Gyles Brandreth, with the pair offering up their thoughts on the pick of the week's TV.
However, Lipman claimed in December that she wouldn't be going back to the show for more episodes, saying: "None of the clever things we said went into it."

She has now reiterated her feelings to Radio Times (quotes via The Mirror), saying that she felt disappointed over the amount of content that didn't make it into the final cut.
"I went in imagining that they wanted me for my wit and my brain," she said. "Of course, they just want to show you willies and for you to be shocked.

"Honestly, we were really funny together, but none of that was used. And if they don't want to use what we gave them, f**k them."
Digital Spy has reached out to Channel 4 for comment.
Lipman, who has also starred in Doctor Who, Plebs and Bull, had previously made her disinterest in shows like Naked Attraction clear, having walked out of filming after having to watch the unique dating show.

"It's your reaction to 12 dangling willies they want," she said. "They're searching for ways to make me go, 'Urgh!' So I thought, 'Well, actually, no, life is too short to watch a series of hopeless men dangle their bits and pieces in my direction. So I'm going.'"
While Lipman appears to have made the firm decision not to return to the sofa for a new series, it sounds as if her couch companion Brandreth will be back on the show with a new viewing partner, following his stints with Dame Sheila Hancock and Lipman.
"It is [over] from my point of view," Lipman confirmed. "I'm sure they'll put someone else with Gyles."
Celebrity Gogglebox is expected to return for a fourth season later this year, although the line-up of famous sofa dwellers has not yet been confirmed.
Another pair who definitely won't be appearing together again are actress Denise Van Outen and her partner Eddie Boxshall, following their recent split.
Gogglebox airs on Channel 4.
