The Great British Bake Off finished up for another year earlier this week, handing the flour-dusted crown to David Atherton, who fought to win the prize against Steph Blackwell and Alice Fevronia.
Although David proved his worth during the competition, many viewers at home weren't happy with the decision, with some taking to social media to claim he "robbed" the title from Steph.
However, on tonight's (November 1) final episode of Extra Slice, judge Prue Leith defended their choice, explaining how she and Paul Hollywood came to their decision.
Joining Jo Brand, Rylan Clark-Neal and Harry Hill on the Channel 4 show, Prue said: "You have to do right on the day, it doesn't matter that Alice got two Star Bakers and Steph got four Star Bakers.
"On the last day, [David] just got everything right so he deserved it, he absolutely deserved it, he won it."
Turns out, Prue's not alone in supporting David's win. Earlier this week, Digital Spy readers took part in a poll that showed a majority of you agreed with this year's results.
