It's a good day for Will & Grace fans. David Schwimmer, best known as Ross from Friends, will play a recurring role in the latest season of the rebooted sitcom.
Schwimmer will be playing Grace's (Debra Messing) new love interest, and is said to be starring in five episodes, Deadline reports.
It will be his first major sitcom role since Friends. Recently he's mainly focused on drama, and bagged an Emmy nomination for his performance as Robert Kardashian in The People vs. O.J. Simpson.
Schwimmer will be joined by former Chelsea host Chelsea Handler, who will be playing "high-powered lesbian" Donna Zimmer. Love is clearly in the air this new season, as Donna will be dating Grace's sister Janet (Mary McCormack).
Speaking about the new season, which is the second since the show's reboot in 2017 but the 10th overall, series co-creator Max Mutchnick told Deadline: "We're trying to open up the series this year. Last year was about coming back and seeing how the audience was going to respond, and they embraced the show, and that was thrilling. Now, we need to move forward."
We left Will and Grace with the news that Will's mother (Blythe Danner) and Grace's father (Robert Klein) are officially dating, so in season 10 we'll see the effect this has on the titular characters' friendship.

Commenting on the surprise coupling, Mutchnick said: "Will and Grace are not brother and sister by any means, but they are referred to that by friends and made fun of.
"What does that make them have to do when they reflect on where they're at in their lives and how they'll have to change?"
Will & Grace will return on NBC in the US on Thursday, October 4 at 9pm. Channel 5 airs the series in the UK, but no specific air date has been lined up yet.
