Slap on some fake tan and pour yourself a glass of champagne, because those whispers of a Footballers' Wives reunion just got a little louder.

In a blast from the glamorous '00s past, Zoe Lucker and Laila Rouass appeared on today's (August 3) Loose Women for a mini reunion, where the possibility of a revival inevitably came up.

As well as finding out whether Tanya Turner and Amber Gates might be up for a return to the WAG lifestyle, Zoe and Laila also revealed their favourite moments from the iconic series.

Remembering her favourite "inappropriate" moment, Zoe admitted that she had always loved the "baby swap" storyline featuring Tanya and Amber.

"I very inappropriately put fake tan on her baby after stealing the baby and swapping it," she recalled, before explaining the final tragic twist in baby Pundarik's story.

"So we did that, but unfortunately my real baby got squished by her pug."

Laila's favourite Footballers' Wives memory was a little less dramatic, fortunately, as she told the panel: "I loved when we went to Thailand. That was really good fun – that was my first episode.

"We had a really good time, it was very, very glamorous."

So, would the famous on-screen rivals entertain the idea of a Footballers Wives' revival? Yes, they would.

"I do [miss it] sometimes," Laila admitted. "I think I would [go back]. If it was as good as it was when we were in it, yes."

Their co-star Gary Lucy is also pretty keen by the sounds of things. The actor – who played Kyle Pascoe in the drama – cryptically told fans to "watch this space" when speaking last year.

"It was outrageous and a fantastic thing to be a part of, so a reunion may be on the cards – you'll have to wait and see," he teased.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV.
