Update: Piers Morgan has answered Lily Allen's claim that Good Morning Britain dropped her planned appearance after their Twitter spat earlier this week – and here's what he had to say...
Original story: Lily Allen has claimed that Good Morning Britain dropped her from a scheduled appearance following her social media rows with the show's host Piers Morgan.
The 'Trigger Bang' singer told her fans in a video message released on Twitter late on Wednesday (June 6) that producers of the ITV morning series offered her the chance to back out of a previously-planned interview on the daytime show, before axing her themselves once she refused to cancel.
"The first people that asked me to come on the TV [for her promo tour] was Good Morning Britain last week," Lily claimed. "Then, this morning, Good Morning Britain called up my people and said, 'After Lily and Piers's Twitter spat, would Lily like to cancel coming on the show?'
"To which I responded, no! Of course not! What? You think I'm scared of Piers Morgan? Anyway, that message went back and I just got the news that I was cancelled because Piers don't want that smoke!"
Digital Spy has reached out to Good Morning Britain for a response to Lily Allen's allegations. Maybe Lily will be more welcome on Good Evening Britain instead?

Earlier this week, the two got into a heated social media spat when Lily called out the Daily Mail for criticising her in two articles released a decade apart for wearing the same AK-47 necklace.
Piers accused Lily of "promoting gun violence" by wearing the necklace, while the singer-songwriter argued that the Good Morning Britain host should lobby his politician friends on gun violence rather than critique musicians.
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays from 6am on ITV.
