Strike: Career of Evil came to its conclusion tonight, with Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke) in the frame for the murder of a teenage girl, Kelsey Platt.

Tonight, it was revealed that the real culprit was Donald Laing (Neil Maskell), a military man who Cormoran had sent down for abusing his wife.

At first it appeared that Cormoran had reached a dead end, as he believed Donald to be "crippled", a twist was soon revealed.

It turned out that Laing was the culprit after all, having come up with a complex plan to get his revenge by faking illness and posing as 'Ray Williams'.

Viewers were a little confused by the plot twist - and by what was going on in the episode in general:

While all this was going on, Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger) was getting set to marry her boyfriend Matthew Cunliffe (Kerr Logan).
