The Crystal Maze returns to Channel 4 this week for the first civilian edition of the rebooted series, and to whet your appetites, we've got a cheeky little Digital Spy exclusive video for you.
Below is brief compilation of some of the hilarious fails we can expect from the upcoming series – from people falling over and possibly damaging the set, to being rubbish at using a cannon, to being physically unable to do riddles.
All of this is, of course, peppered with brilliantly pithy remarks from host Richard Ayoade and a scathing eye-roll from Adam Buxton's head-in-a-jar:
Buxton's Jarhead is one of the two new characters introduced for The Crystal Maze 2017 – we also saw Jessica Hynes make her debut as The Medieval Zone's not-so valiant Knight in the earlier celebrity specials.
Channel 4 revealed a few months back that over 30,000 people had applied to be on the '90s revival series, and when you take into account this series is 20 episodes long, that means there's a LOT of whittling down to be done.
So far this year we've seen a host of celebrities including Vicky Pattison, Louie Spence, Ore Oduba and Alex Brooker take on the Maze, with highlights including a spat between Stacey Solomon and her boyfriend Joe Swash.

We also enjoyed seeing Joey Essex take on the Planet Walk much more than we care to admit.
The Crystal Maze returns Friday (August 25) at 8pm on Channel 4.
