In honour of London Pride 2017 – and the fact it's actually just ABOUT TIME – tonight's (June 9) episode of Blind Date included LGBTQ couples for the very first time.
Alice – a 29-year-old Celine Dion super-fan – turned up looking for love and met three ladies who were all hoping to impress her and land the all-important date.

Naturally viewers were super excited about the fact Blind Date was including LGBTQ couples, bringing the show right up to date.
Now, Alice had a choice between Steph, Sarah, and Jane and after the usual rounds of questions, she decided to go with Steph.
Steph, who admitted she doesn't get to date much and spends a lot of time snuggling up with her dogs, seemed to be a lot of people's favourite choice for her too.

It's not going to be the only inclusion of LGBTQ in the series, as it's the boys' turn next time.
On the matter of the inclusion of LGBTQ couples, Paul O'Grady previously told Digital Spy: "It was important to me, we've moved on in the world so we've got a wide range of people on."

Blind Date airs on Channel 5.
