The Crystal Maze will return to our screens later this month with a celebrity special for Stand Up To Cancer.

Channel 4 has announced that Strictly Come Dancing champion Ore Oduba, TOWIE's Lydia Bright, Louie Spence, The Last Leg's Alex Brooker and Vicky Pattison will be entering the maze to win money for charity.

New host Richard Ayoade will be seeing them through the classic Aztec, Medieval, Future and Industrial zones, and we'll see how well they did on Friday, June 23 at 9pm on Channel 4.

It was revealed earlier this year that the IT Crowd star would be hosting a FULL series of the classic game show, taking over from Stephen Merchant who presented the one-off episode for Stand Up to Cancer last year.

That saw Rio Ferdinand, Michelle Keegan, Jonnie Peacock, Sara Cox and The Last Leg's Josh Widdicombe face the fans in the iconic Crystal Dome, winning £25,000 for Stand Up to Cancer.

The success of that one-off special, filmed at The Crystal Maze live experience in London, led to the commission of the new 20 hour-long episodes.

It will be filmed at a purpose-built maze in Bristol that's being created by the original Crystal Maze designer James Dillon and spans over 30,000 square feet, meaning a whole lot of running between rooms.

Hopefully this airdate for the celebrity special means that the full series can't be far behind, potentially even every Friday afterwards.
