The Fall retained the dubious honour of being the creepiest show on TV tonight (October 20).
BBC Two's meditative crime thriller picked up in the horrific aftermath of the attempted murder-suicide of serial killer Paul Spector's (Jamie Dornan) wife Sally Ann (Bronagh Waugh) and their children.

The Fall explored the trauma of Paul's devious actions on his loved ones like never before, and once again offered at least some hints about his strange and alluring connection with the cop who caught him - DSI Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson).
Writer Allan Cubitt continues to ask unsettling questions about the charisma of criminals - but are viewers feeling that same vibe from Paul and Stella? Let's take a look at reactions from tonight's episode.
The relationship between cop (Gillian Anderson) and killer (Jamie Dornan) remains The Fall's focus this series, although the cast have denied that Paul and Stella's chemistry is sexual in nature.
What to Read Next
"Stella is a very sexual being, and she's distracted and fascinated by him [Paul Spector]," Gillian Anderson recently explained on This Morning. "And she spent so much time getting into his mindset that she feels she understands him – she's been so immersive she has gone into dark places herself.
"She gets into his focus – he's a very dark and twisted psycho and sexual predator and there is tension but it's not sexual."
Was tonight's episode merely the calm before the storm?
