The appetite for Tom Hardy's gritty Paramount+ crime drama MobLand is rabid. So hungry is the fanbase for more that we are already talking about season three before the second has even debuted.
The series follows Hardy's Harry Da Souza, a "fixer" and hitman who tries to prevent the London crime families, the Harrigans and the Stevensons, from descending into all-out war. His home life isn't any less tumultuous as his line of work puts strain on his marriage to wife Jan (Joanne Froggatt).
Season two has just wrapped filming, but a release date for the upcoming season has not been announced.
In late April, a report from The Sun said a third season of MobLand was now in the works, though an official confirmation has yet to come through from Paramount+.
Now, the future of a third season is up in the air with unsubstantiated reports that Hardy has left the crime series.

There has been speculation concerning the return of MobLand's lead star Tom Hardy for season three. While reports claim that Hardy has left the series, nothing has been officially confirmed by Paramount.
Until a statement has been released from the streamer, it is best to operate a 'no news is good news' attitude.
Digital Spy has reached out to reps for Paramount, production company 101 Studios, and Hardy for comment, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.
As mentioned above, in late April The Sun broke the news of a third-season return for MobLand, stating that Paramount is happy with the show's quality and ratings.

Tom Hardy will be starring in MobLand season two. In fact, it's already wrapped.
In March, Emmett J. Scanlan, who plays Paul O'Donnell, an enforcer for the Harrigans, confirmed that filming on season two had wrapped production via Instagram. In a video, the actor called shooting the season an "extraordinary experience".
Scanlan also teased what fans can expect from season two back in February, during a chat with Hello!.
"If you liked season one, penned incredibly by Jez Butterworth, then season two is season one on steroids," he said.
"It is insane, it's bananas. I loved season one, I loved reading it and getting lost in that world. I think season two is even better. The scripts are fantastic."
Joining Hardy for the show's second season will be Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, who star as Conrad and Maeve Harrigan respectively. The series also stars Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Janet McTeer and Lara Pulver, and Toby Jones.
No release date has been set for season two just yet.
