The actor played DI Nicola Rogerson in seasons two and six of the BBC One crime drama, and it looks like she's been asked about her availability for a seventh season.
"So I have been asked about a season. Is it seven? Yeah. Potentially, Nicola Rogerson will be back for season seven," Chong told The Mirror.

A seventh season has still not been officially announced or confirmed, but there's been plenty of quotes from cast members teasing that things are progressing behind the scenes, and that everyone is well up for it.
Reflecting on how her time on the show changed her life, Chong said: "I didn't think it was going to be as big but I still to this day get recognised from that."

"It lifted my profile another level," she added, noting that Line of Duty writer Jed Mercurio has "become a huge success internationally as well."
She explained that she also worked with Martin Compston, who plays DI Steve Arnott on the show, on a horror film that was one of her first jobs. "So when I see Martin, it is almost like a homecoming where it's like, wow, you were there when I first started out."

"And everyone is so lovely on that set," she added. "And even Jed, I remember last time I went back during the pandemic, Jed wasn't meant to be at set, but he came to set to say hi. And I was like, 'wow, that's so nice'."
The actor is now perhaps best-known for playing the character La'an Noonien Singh in Star Trek spin-off Strange New Worlds, and says that she's working on an EP of music set to come out alongside the upcoming third season, and an album for afterwards.
"I am currently working on an album," she said. "Jake Gosling is producing who works with Ed Sheeran. I'm actually in Nashville next week recording and just loving it."
Line of Duty seasons 1-6 are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
