Netflix has announced Squid Game season three's release date.
The streaming giant revealed at its industry event New on Netflix that the show's final season will debut on June 27, 2025.
A synopsis for season three was also released, reading: "The third and final season of Squid Game follows Gi-hun after losing his best friend in the game and being driven to utter despair by The Front Man, who was hiding his true identity to infiltrate the game.
"Gi-hun persists with his goal to put an end to the game, while The Front Man continues onto his next move and the surviving players' choices will lead to graver consequences with each round."

The selection of pictures also teases more devastating losses for the Squid Game players.
The third instalment will air off the back of the record-breaking success of the second season, which topped Netflix's most-viewed TV show charts in 92 countries.
On December 31, Netflix announced that season two had already achieved 68 million views, becoming the platform's seventh-biggest non-English language show, with the most views ever for a show in its debut week.
The Korean thriller went on to pick up another record by racking up 126.2 million views in its first 11 days, the highest viewing figure for any other Netflix series in that period.
Despite the wait between seasons two and three being much shorter than the break between the first and second, creator Hwang Dong-hyuk anticipated that fans would not be happy with the brief hiatus.
"When [fans] watch the end of season two, they're going to be very upset with me because they're going to be like, 'How can you do this to us? We want season three immediately'," the showrunner told Digital Spy.
"What I can tell you is it's going to be good for you to take that short break and wait for season three, because I can say for sure that it is definitely going to be worth the wait, so I want to say, please bear with us."
Squid Game season 1 and 2 are available to stream now on Netflix. Season 3 premieres on June 27. Squid Game: The Challenge will also return for a second season.
