Good Omens star Doon Mackichan has confirmed she'll reprise her role for the series' feature-length finale.

Mackichan, who plays Archangel Michael, is coming back for the supernatural show's conclusion, a 90-minute final episode that will replace the previously announced season three. The actor also confirmed the new instalment will be filming next year.

Taking to her Instagram following her BAFTA Scotland Awards win for the role of Cathy in Two Doors Down, Mackichan wrote: "Over the moon to have won the Bafta for Best Actress in Glasgow on sunday. Dedicated it to our dear departed writer Simon Carlysle and celebrated Cathy style!"

In August, Sheen shared some insider knowledge on the conclusion, teasing a satisfying ending to the show.

"One of the extraordinary things about being a part of [Good Omens] is the audience, the fans, the fandom of it. You have to take it very seriously because people get really affected by it," he told TV Insider in August.

"And seeing how people reacted to the end of season 2 was extraordinary. So yeah, I hope, and I'm sure, that season 3 will be a satisfying experience for everyone."

Good Omens seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Prime Video.
