Prue Leith’s ITV series Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen has been renewed for a second season following the first’s success.

The show debuted earlier this year, and follows the Great British Bake Off judge in her Cotswold home as she cooks some of her favourite dishes, shares kitchen hacks and invites guests.

ITV have now confirmed that the series will be back for more, with her fan-favourite husband John also returning for the new episodes.

“I am so thrilled about our new series of Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen,” Prue said. “I love filming in our house and farm; my husband John turns out to be quite the star (not sure I’m so keen on that!).

“I’ve got some terrific guests lined up to chat and cook with, and more food heroes to show the world. I can’t wait!”

In the series, the restaurateur and This Morning regular will invite viewers into her home near the Wirral as she prepares recipes with ingredients from local suppliers and her own garden.

Fans can also expect appearances from her family as well as their many animals – including dogs, horses, goats, assorted ducks, chickens, guinea fowl and alpacas.

“I have dedicated my life to making delicious food easily achievable, so I’m thrilled to be able to share my super simple, super tasty, super quick dishes, created in the happy chaos of my own home with my two and four legged family,” Nisha said.

Also commissioned is The Royal Beat hosted by Kate Thornton, a chat show featuring royal experts that promises to give “fresh, knowledgeable and detailed insight into the monarchy in the UK and abroad”.

“On every episode, we’ll be joined by those that work closest with the royal family to bring you genuine insight on the work they do and explore what really happens behind closed doors in the House of Windsor,” Kate said.

“I think viewers will come away with a deeper understanding of the family and the machine that sits behind it to better understand why the Royals mean so much to us as a nation.”

Prue Leith's Cotswold Kitchen airs on ITV1 and ITVX, with an air date season 2 yet to be confirmed.
