Channel 4 has released the first look at The Inbetweeners star Simon Bird's returning comedy series Everyone Else Burns.
The second season of Everyone Else Burns will be airing later this year, as Manchester's Lewis family continue following the increasingly odd orders of a puritanical Christian sect.
Some brand-new teaser photos show Bird's character, David, and Death in Paradise star Kate O'Flynn's character, Fiona, trying to keep their family together while obeying strict religious rules.
This time around, the Lewises' daughter Rachel (Coronation Street's Amy James-Kelly) is determined to exert her independence even though the cult has arranged a marriage for her.
Newcomer Paddy Young (Timewasters) plays Jeb, the man the sect has picked out to marry Rachel despite her objections.

Meanwhile, Aaron Lewis is determined to push the cult into the 21st century, as he enlists his father David to change things for the better. The second season brings back Morgana Robinson (Taskmaster) as Melissa and introduces Sian Clifford as Maude.
The comedy series comes from the writing duo Dillon Mapletoft and Oliver Taylor. Everyone Else Burns was officially renewed in August 2023 after a hit first season.

"I'm elated that the Lewis family have (so far) survived eternal damnation for long enough in order to deliver another series of the excellent Everyone Else Burns for Channel 4 viewers. I'm very grateful to the brilliant minds of Oli and Dillon and the whole team at Jax Media and Universal International Studios and we can't wait to see what's in store when series two hits our screens," Channel 4 Commissioning Editor Laura Riseam said at the time.
Beatrice Springborn, President of Universal International Studios, added: "Everyone Else Burns is a divine comedy full of heart and wit that proves even in chaos, we can all find comedic salvation. With our partners at Jax Media and Channel 4, we can't wait for audiences to fall in love again with the world Dillon and Oliver have so brilliantly created."
Everyone Else Burns season two will air this autumn on Channel 4.
