The End of the F***ing World will finally return to our screens in a matter of weeks – but that still doesn't mean that we're getting any answers any time soon.
Because ahead of the second season of the hit Channel 4 series premiering on November 4, a new trailer for the upcoming episodes focused on Alyssa (Jessica Barden) and newcomer Bonnie (played by Naomi Ackie), an outsider with a troubled past and a connection to Alyssa.
Which means fans are *still* waiting for answers over that massive cliffhanger in the season one finale.

Viewers will remember that season one ended with a gunshot as the police armed response unit closed in on James (Alex Lawther) and Alyssa, with the final scene showing James running across a beach before the gunshot rang out and the scene faded to black.
We're still no closer to figuring out James' fate, although the trailer teases the immediate aftermath as Alyssa can be seen rushing over to a bleeding James on the beach where we left them both last time.

So, considering the new series picks up two years later as Alyssa appears to be planning a wedding and the trailer teases that she's getting a 'Fresh Start', we really have to know: is James alive or not?!
The End of the F***ing World is based on the award-winning series of comic books by Charles Forsman, and season two began shooting earlier this year, with Netflix confirming the news at the time via an Instagram post of star Barden.
The new season will launch on Channel 4 in the UK with a double bill on Monday, November 4, and it will be available to stream in its entirety on All4 afterwards too.
