PlayStation has revealed the PS Plus monthly games for January 2025.

The three games can be claimed by Essential, Extra, and Premium members from January 7 until February 3, and include a big-budget game that's less than a year old, a beloved indie, and an enjoyable – if old at this point – racing game.

Here's what you can add to your game libraries next week...

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Last year's flop Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, for PS5, is the first of the three games being added to PlayStation Plus in January 2025.

Developed by Rocksteady Studios, WB Games' shooter follows the Suicide Squad including Harley Quinn and Deadshot as they're ordered to stop Brainiac and take care of the Justice League superheroes.

At the time of release, the game was criticised for numerous reasons including repetitive missions and its live-service elements.

We at Digital Spy were also unimpressed – you can read our review from back then.

But the fact that it will be available to PlayStation Plus members at no extra cost may be tempting.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe

The expanded version of Davey Wreden and William Pugh's acclaimed The Stanley Parable for PS4 and PS5 is also coming on January 7.

You control an office worker named Stanley, who finds the office deserted when he gets up from his desk. The narrator will comment on the choices you make as Stanley, leading to numerous endings and some utterly bizarre moments.

It's difficult to go into further detail without spoiling the delightful turns that the game takes, but The Stanley Parable is genuinely funny and provides interesting commentary on player choice.

There's good news for fans of Wreden: his next game Wanderstop, developed by Ivy Road, is coming out in March 2025.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered

The remastered version of 2010's Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, for PS4, is the final game coming to PlayStation Plus in January 2025.

With Criterion Games (known for the Burnout series) at the helm, Hot Pursuit was a well-liked entry in EA's racing series at the time of its original release.

Thrilling high-speed police chases were a big selling point for the game, as players could take on the role of either a racer or a police officer in the fictional US-inspired Seacrest County.

Criterion Games would go on to develop further Need for Speed entries, including 2022's Need for Speed Unbound.

The remastered version was developed by Stellar Entertainment.
