Amazon has announced that it's refreshing a number of its own-brand devices including its Fire HD 10 tablets.
The all-new Fire HD 10, plus revised editions of the Fire HD 10 Kids and Fire HD 10 Kids Pro tablets, are available to pre-order now and are expected to ship from Wednesday, October 18, a week after its members-only Prime Big Deal Days shopping event.
Amazon has said the 2023 editions of the Fire HD 10 tablet family are 25% faster than their previous versions. Each has 3GB of RAM, a 5MP camera, and a 1080p full HD display.
The Fire HD 10 will be available in three colourways – black, lilac and ocean blue – with two different internal storage options of 32GB or 64GB. The tablet also has an expandable storage slot, and up to 13 hours of battery life.
Pre-order pricing for the 2023 edition of the Fire HD 10 tablet starts at £149.99 – that's for the 32GB version with ads or 'Special Offers' functionality, which "displays sponsored screensavers on your device's lock screen and in sleep mode". Pricing for the 64GB version starts at £179.99.
Meanwhile, the all-new Fire HD 10 Kids tablet, designed with children aged 3 to 7 years old in mind, has the same key specs, plus parental controls.
