Terese continues to feel confused and unhappy that Paul is avoiding her. In an effort to finally pin him down, she drags Susan to the Day Spa at a time she knows she's likely to run into him there.

While she ends up missing Paul again, Susan cottons onto her plan and reveals to Terese that Paul is staying away for a very good reason – his feelings are too strong and he doesn't trust himself around her.

Susan hopes that this will reconcile Terese to keeping a distance between them, but a miserable Terese can't commit to that, admitting nothing feels as good as Paul's attention at the moment. Susan is left worried for her friend.

Meanwhile, Holly is incensed when Karl allows Felix to continue staying at the Tram to avoid getting mixed up with dodgy criminal types at the halfway house. Susan is surprised at Holly's negativity toward Felix after his heroism in the siege and Holly is forced to cover her true reason – that he's pushing her to face up to her PTSD.

She later tells Felix that she doesn't want to hear another word from him on the subject and so he gifts her a book on surviving trauma – which she promptly jams in the dishwasher.

Elsewhere, off the back of Remi's advice to come to the table and talk to Andrew, Wendy finally decides it's time and she prepares a special meal for the occasion. But her timing is off and Andrew is in a filthy mood after a disastrous Boylesque rehearsal and now he's the one who's not willing to engage. His frustrations continue to affect his behaviour at work and he receives a warning for yelling a junior officer.

Later a smart-mouthed suspect rubs him the wrong way and Andrew shirt-fronts him and shouts in his face – he's crossed a line that can't be uncrossed and he's suspended.

Also today, Cara learns that she successfully passed her uni course, after re-doing the assignment which Dex originally completed for her. She's relieved, but then also amazed when the uni offers Dex a chance to start doing Computer Science subjects early while he also finishes high school.

Dex is initially resistant, insisting he just wants to be a normal kid and be with his friends. Cara and Remi can't help but agree that the social implications might be difficult for him. After consulting with the uni, they decide to enrol Dex in a course at an independent college which holds classes a few times a week outside school hours.
