In the aftermath of being busted hosting a secret house party, Wendy goes into damage control. Andrew is mostly amused by the situation, especially once Wendy reveals her classmates think she's much younger.

Sadie's almost a little happy that her mum has found her people at uni. But neither Andrew or Sadie realise the full extent of Wendy's double life – that her uni crew thought she was single and childless.

Despite promising Andrew there will be no more secrets, Wendy covers up the scale of things, worried that it will only hurt him.

Meanwhile, as JJ nervously waits for the verdict on his return to Erinsborough High, he's cajoled into joining Nell and Dex on a trip to Luna Park. It's billed as a perfect distraction, but it's mostly torture to watch his brother cosy up to the girl he likes.

Cara and Remi report the good news – he's being allowed to return to school – which causes JJ to lighten up and enjoy having time with Nell. When Dex pushes for further romantic advice, JJ refuses, done with helping the competition. Instead, he finally snaps and admits he's also into Nell, much to Dex's shock.

Elsewhere, feeling amorous, Susan suggests some alone time to Karl. Karl doesn't get the hint and instead takes Melanie up on some free movie tickets. Susan debriefs about her frustration with Terese, who suggests that Susan is being "work-zoned": her and Karl are spending so much time at work together, that he's starting to see her as a colleague.

Also today, still privately troubled by the reminders of his past wives, Toadie is called by the agent who looks after Sonya's Nursery. Meeting Rhett on site, Toadie discovers that the nursery has fallen into disrepair.

Rhett reveals that the tenants have pulled out and the nursery is no longer a tenable business, with too much competition from bigger garden centres that have opened in the area. Toadie is faced with the possibility of having to close Sonya's Nursery for good.

Later, Toadie helps Cara with the next stage of the sunroom rebuild. When Cara suggests the space could do with something vintage for character, Toadie thinks he may have the perfect solution.
