Theo tries to speak to Lacey while she's sunbathing on the beach, but Gage is on his way out of the surf and interrupts.
Later, Theo tells Lacey that he wants them to be together properly, but she panics over the threat that Gage would pose to them both. Lacey refuses to be swayed and tells Theo that they can continue their affair, but a relationship is off the cards. The lovers are still unaware that Gage already knows the truth about them.
As the day continues, Theo is lured to Gage's property on the pretence of another race happening. It's clear that Theo may have walked into a trap.
