Dean remains frosty towards Levi on the road trip. When the foursome hire a boat, Dean refuses to join in with the snorkelling and drinks more beers than he should. Before long, he accuses Levi of letting his eyes linger on Ziggy in her swimsuit for too long. When the tensions become unbearable, Dean drives them all back to shore.
Ziggy tells Dean that she's starting to like Levi and he deserves more of a chance. Mackenzie also warns Dean that she intends to spend the rest of her life with Levi, whether he approves or not.
Later, once alone, Ziggy and Mackenzie are eyed by a suspicious stranger. Two men confront them, armed with a shiv. The women are forced into Dean's truck, where Ziggy is ordered to drive at knife point. Levi and Dean return just in time to see them speeding off with the strange men.

Meanwhile, Cash finds Irene struggling with her cravings for alcohol at Salt. He decides to walk her home. Cash and Dana struggle to find the right words of reassurance for Irene. Bree, Rose and Dana all team up to help Irene see that she experienced a win, rather than a setback, when she didn't drink at Salt.
The next day, Irene heads to the coffee cart for a second attempt at returning to normal.
