Eliza is mesmerized when Tane shows her and Roo a scan picture of the baby. Marilyn's suspicions of Eliza grow when she realises that more money has gone missing from her bag. She raises her concerns with Roo after overhearing Eliza's plans to buy activewear for the youth programme. Roo refuses to believe that Eliza is a thief.
The next day, as Eliza takes part in the youth programme for the first time, she seizes an opportunity to steal the scan photo from Tane. One of the boys, Scott, confronts her and encourages her to put it back. Eliza refuses to back down, and as the tensions escalate, she punches him in the face and causes a nosebleed.
Eliza warns Scott to keep quiet about what he saw, but Tane witnesses their tense encounter and is left feeling very troubled.
