Eliza opens up to Roo about her past struggles in school. Roo offers to homeschool Eliza, although Alf doesn't think it's a good idea as it could be a block to her making friends.
Later, Eliza snaps at Roo and accuses her of pretending to like her. Eliza reveals that plenty of other adults have made similar promises to her in the past – and she expects Roo to get sick of her sooner or later.
Events take another turn when Levi dresses Eliza's burn wound. Roo mentions Levi's operation on a baby that was still in the womb. This sounds very interesting to Eliza, but why?
