Mackenzie offers Xander the opportunity to take a six-week business internship with one of her friends at a hotel in Melbourne. Xander doesn't want to be apart from Dana for so long, but she encourages him to take the opportunity.
The next day, Xander says his goodbyes – telling Dana that he loves her for the first time before he goes. Rose offers to support Dana while Xander is away.
Meanwhile, Rose worries about her next shift with Cash at the police station, aware that he hasn't been doing well recently.
Elsewhere, Remi seeks clarity from Theo over his future in Lyrik. Theo points out that he has other responsibilities now, including his job at the garage. Remi encourages Theo to focus on Lyrik full-time again and he agrees, but only for a month-long trial basis.
