With her love letter to Remi exposed, Bree is faced with an enraged Jacob. For the first time, Bree stands her ground. However, Jacob is violent in response and sends Bree unconscious to the ground.
Bree awakens to the horrifying sight of Jacob digging a grave-sized hole. Sneaking up behind him, Bree smacks a distracted Jacob over the head with a shovel. Her relief quickly turns to alarm as Jacob has no pulse.
When the ambulance arrives, it's too late – even Bree's frantic attempts at CPR can't revive Jacob. A sobbing Bree is pulled off her dead husband, as she takes in the morbid end of her marriage.

Pleased with herself for nailing the nursery, Mackenzie struts into work. But she freezes on the spot when she recognises a man at the bar. Rushing back out the door, Mackenzie looks like she has seen a ghost. Who is this mysterious man to Mackenzie?
