Playing peacemaker, Nikau bridges the gap between Heather and Marilyn. When Heather learns that Marilyn took the fall for the slashed tyres, Heather pulls Marilyn into a grateful hug. Marilyn is overjoyed to be connecting with her daughter.
However, Heather is dismayed by how understanding Marilyn's friends and family are. She wonders why nobody is holding Marilyn accountable for her actions. A stormy Heather brews, clearly feeling Marilyn deserves some punishment.
Leah shares Marilyn's happiness over her bonding with her daughter but is concerned to learn that Marilyn is taking the blame for Heather's violent actions. Blaming herself for Heather's emotional damage, Marilyn refuses to hold Heather accountable. But Leah sees the writing on the wall – what else is Heather capable of?
What to Read Next
Drawing a firm line in the sand, Leah tells Heather she knows the truth, and warns Heather not to threaten Marilyn, or Leah will go to the police. Heather smiles, undeterred.
Later, coming home after work, Leah is horrified to find her house broken into and completely trashed. Is Leah the target of a personal attack?
Meanwhile, Justin's prowess as band manager falls flat after a disappointing gig. But Leah reminds Justin that they have options – he's many bad gigs away from failure. Trying to juggle band managing and the garage, Justin runs through business admin with a distracted Ziggy, feeling the pressure of her pregnancy secret.
When Justin discovers Ziggy forgot to place a car part order, Ziggy breaks down in tears, leaving Justin shocked.
Determined to turn the tide on the band's success, Justin approaches Mackenzie to renegotiate Lyrik's gigs at Salt. Mackenzie grins, recognising a grovelling act when she sees one. Justin overplays his salesman hand, but Mackenzie sets him straight. They both need these gigs, so why not just negotiate a new fee? Justin is grateful for Mackenzie's direct approach.
Elsewhere, Mackenzie clocks the tension between Dean and Ziggy, assuming that Dean has antagonised Ziggy. Teasing out Dean's feelings, Mackenzie advises Dean that being a supportive partner sometimes means being the emotional punching bag when it gets tough. Taking this on, Dean puts aside his hurt feelings for Ziggy and their baby. It pays off – Dean and Ziggy turn a new page, agreeing to do this pregnancy together.
