When Heather shows up unprepared for a tutoring session with Roo, Marilyn is suspicious. If Heather isn't focused on study, then what is she focused on? Buying Heather's story about struggling to settle into Summer Bay, Roo is compassionate.

When Marilyn refuses to sympathise with Heather's plight, Roo tells Marilyn all about Heather's story – that she was forced to give her baby up after having an affair with a married man. A stunned Marilyn is shaken by this revelation.

Later, Marilyn finds an anonymous letter left on her front doorstep. An edgy Marilyn pulls out a photograph of a newborn baby. On the back, is handwritten: 'Guess who?' Terrified, Marilyn looks around, wondering who left this for her to see.

Meanwhile, with Cash staying at their house, Tane and Nikau worry that the bikies will suspect their cooperation with the police. They're still waiting on a court date for sentencing, but a confident Tane promises Nikau he'll deal with it.

Desperate to keep busy to occupy his tormented mind, Cash is stubborn about resuming duties at the police station. Realising Cash can't be swayed, Felicity offers to drive him, since he can't physically drive himself. Cash can barely get out of the car, let alone perform police work. A fraught Cash is ordered back into recovery by his sergeant.

Bracing for conflict, Tane kindly explains to Felicity that having a cop recovering in their house could jeopardise their safety with the bikies. Indignant that Tane would boot Cash out while he's down, Felicity says she'll speak to Cash herself. But Cash has already overheard the conversation from the corridor. Feeling guilty, Cash quietly escapes the house alone. When Felicity goes to find Cash, she discovers he has gone.

Elsewhere, reeling from the discovery that she's pregnant, a cagey Ziggy hides the truth from Dean, who is keen to celebrate Ziggy's bright surfing future. When a frazzled Ziggy considers ditching the sponsorship and competitive surfing altogether, Dean is worried.

Ever supportive, Dean assures Ziggy that she can follow her dreams, despite her doubts. Agonising over the decision between her dreams and a child, Ziggy tells Dean that she's pregnant.

A patient Dean listens to Ziggy explain her dilemma – she was about to embark on her pro-surfing journey. Dean assures her that they're in this together.
