To Dean's delight, Ziggy returns to the Bay unexpectedly with good news – she won the surf comp. Mackenzie and Dean are overjoyed to learn that Ziggy has been offered a sponsorship already. Grinning from ear to ear, Ziggy allows herself to imagine a life of pro surfing.
On cloud nine, Ziggy plans to celebrate her post-surf comp victory with another surf. But a woozy Ziggy comes stumbling out of the water, barely able to stand. Thankfully Bree intercepts her, doing a thorough doctor's check. When Bree can't identify an injury, she wonders if Ziggy could be pregnant.
Distressed, Ziggy does a pregnancy test. The seconds drag on, but finally Ziggy gets the dreaded answer – she's pregnant.

Meanwhile, Justin accidentally lets slip to Leah that Theo is heartbroken over Kirby. Making Leah promise to keep the secret, the two worry about Theo's state of mind.
At a band meeting, the tension between Kirby and Theo is awkward. Eden and Remi pour out enthusiasm and get nothing back. In order to split the workload, Eden suggests that Theo and Kirby rehearse alone together to work out vocal harmonies, while she and Remi rehearse guitar riffs.
When Eden wonders why Kirby is so off, Theo covers – blaming himself for insulting Kirby's song lyrics. Flattered that Theo would take the blame for her rudeness, Kirby throws caution to the wind – pulling Theo into a passionate kiss in front of a shocked Remi and Eden.
Debriefing after the shock, Remi changes his tune – perhaps they should be more open-minded and let bandmates be lovers.
Leah and Justin are pleasantly surprised when a loved-up Kirby and Theo arrive at the Diner. A proud Theo introduces Kirby as his girlfriend, glad to finally be romantic in public. Justin and Leah are relieved for the young couple.
