Dean intercepts Nikau begging for a lift to the airport so that he can see Bella. Protective of Bella, Dean isn't letting Nikau go anywhere without an explanation. Nikau is distressed because Bella won't answer his calls since he broke up with her.

Knowing the truth about the stolen money and the bikies, Dean understands that Nikau broke up with Bella for her own protection. Landing on a solution, Nikau pleads with Dean to call Bella on his behalf, but Dean refuses, not wanting to reopen an old wound for Bella.

Putting a stop to Nikau's ambitions, Dean shows Nikau how happy Bella's life is in New York. It's written all over her social media accounts. Does Nikau want to rupture that for her? They still have a court case to get through with the bikies. Dean convinces Nikau to decide what's best for Bella, so Nikau stays in Summer Bay.

A charmed Kirby pulls Theo inside, insistent that their love affair must remain a secret. Theo agrees, just happy to have his lover in his arms.

Also today, Alf arrives back from Merimbula in a huff, eager for a steak after Martha's 'healthy tucker' all week. Roo isn't interested in small talk, wanting to know whether her parents have resolved their living arrangement dilemma. A reticent Alf insists they're fine. Roo gets a call from a new tutoring client.
