Exhausted from court, Rose explains to Xander that Tex was refused bail and sent to remand. On edge about giving her statement in court, Rose confesses to Xander that Tane was working with the police to bring down the bikies. The magistrate will certainly let him off, but Rose needs to convince the bikies, otherwise they could order a hit on Nikau and Tane as punishment for working with the cops.
The next day, news of the bikie arrest has hit the local newspaper, with Tane and Nikau on the front cover. It looks bad, and the community is quick to judge. Overhearing the gossip, Xander bites his tongue, knowing Tane and Nikau's safety depends on their appearance of guilt.
Rose is gobsmacked to discover the media is all over the bikie bust story. More worryingly, Tane and Nikau may be facing trial by media. What could that mean for their standing in the community?

Meanwhile, Ziggy is like a caged animal, furiously banging on the locked shed doors. Remi patiently points out that they're in the middle of nowhere and the guy drove off in Ziggy's car. Nobody is coming to help them, and neither of them have phones. As their escape attempts prove futile, Ziggy and Remi settle in for a long and cold night of waiting in the dark shed, hoping that someone will come looking.
As night descends, Dean's concern for Ziggy becomes serious. Mackenzie is more level-headed, proposing they trawl through Ziggy's van search history to figure out where they went. Remi and Ziggy awake to the sound of a car pulling up outside. To Ziggy's immense relief, Dean opens the shed door, and she falls into his arms. The reunion only lasts a moment before Dean punches Remi square in the face.
Safely back at home, a vulnerable Dean asks Ziggy why she lied to him. Remorseful, Ziggy explains that she just wanted to do something nice for Theo and the band and knew Dean wouldn't like her associating with Remi. When Ziggy begs to know what she can do to make things right again, Dean only shrugs – don't scare him like that again.
Taking pity on Remi and his bruised face, Mackenzie shouts Remi breakfast. A wounded Remi isn't ready to face the music – he needs to tell the band that he lost their $3,000 to a scammer.
