Going out of her mind with stress, Felicity hurls abuse at the police keeping her imprisoned. Suddenly Tane and Nikau are brought in, along with Tex and the bikies. Felicity is released, but Tane quickly informs her that Cash has been shot.

Cash is bleeding out as Xander arrives in the ambulance, on duty. Rose begs Xander to help Cash, who is fading fast. In the back of the ambulance, Cash goes unconscious, his heart stopping. A determined Xander performs CPR, refusing to let Cash die on his watch.

In the hospital, Cash is treated by the new doctor, Bree Cameron. A frantic Felicity arrives at the hospital trying to find Cash. A calm and reassuring Dr Cameron keeps Felicity out of the way, promising to reunite them once Cash is looked after.

Before Cash is taken to surgery, Felicity is permitted to see him. A heartbroken Felicity speaks to an unconscious Cash – he must promise to come back to her.

In the interview room at the station, Tane is being stripped of his wire by the police. Nikau is aghast, questioning why Tane didn't say he was working with the cops. When Tane tries to leave, Rose demands that Nikau and Tane play along with being arrested, otherwise the bikies will know they helped the sting operation.

For their own safety, Tane and Nikau play along with their arrest. Rose drags a cheeky Tex in for an interview. Tex seems more interested in playing games than talking. A guilt-ridden Rose is gutted to learn that Cash has gone in for surgery. Turning her rage on Tex, it blows back in her face – Tex knows Rose was using him to get over Cash. Sticking in the knife, Tex tells Rose that if Cash dies, it's her fault.

Irene debriefs with Alf on her visit to see Jasmine. A compassionate Irene understands that for Jasmine, being with her ex-husband's family brought up emotional baggage that had gone unprocessed. Alf feels awful for poor Cash. Their discussion is interrupted by a distressing phone call from Rose, telling them Cash has been shot. Irene rushes to the hospital and is consoled by Xander. Without Jasmine, they will all need to be strong for Cash.

Felicity is overwhelmed with relief when she's reunited with Tane at the police station. Nikau and Tane explain the situation to Felicity, hoping that this means all their troubles are over. They just need to play along with the police until sentencing, so the bikies don't suspect Tane double-crossed them.

A tormented Rose blames herself for Cash's shooting. A compassionate Xander consoles her, reminding Rose that now Jasmine is gone, they need to step up for Cash's sake. At the hospital, Rose takes an unconscious Cash's hand, giving a tearful apology. Before she can finish, Cash goes into cardiac arrest, and Rose is rushed out of the room by medical staff. A horrified Rose and Irene watch as Dr Cameron and the hospital staff attempt to revive a dying Cash.
