Rose runs a police check on Tex's number plate, clearly suspicious of him. Rose confronts Tex with the truth – she knows his real name is Leigh Wheeler and that he has bikie affiliations. Softening, Tex admits to the accusations, but insists he is serious about his commitment to Rose. A hesitant Rose deflects that she needs time to process this. She wonders whether a cop and a bikie can make a romance work.

Following her lead, Rose approaches Tane armed with the truth about Tex. Rose wants to know how Tane is tied up with a bikie. Tane is sprung under Rose's questions.

The bikies have gone silent and Tane worries that no news is bad news. Nikau is more optimistic – perhaps they've given up on laundering through the gym. A nervous Tane pushes the bikies for answers, unable to withstand the suspense.

On Tane's request, Tex pays the gym a visit. Amused by Tane's distress, Tex explains that they've taken care of everything – Tane will be receiving his new employee that afternoon, who will take care of the books.

A despondent Nikau unleashes his outrage on Tane about caving to the bikies' demands. When Tane presses Nikau, he admits that he's feeling awful because he broke up with Bella to protect her. Tane and Nikau can't agree on a strategy to deal with the bikies. Nikau demands non-compliance, but Tane thinks they need to play it safe.

Meanwhile, trying to keep his suffering under wraps, Xander hides the tattoo paraphernalia from the night before. For Rose's sake, Xander puts on a cheery façade, but it's feeble and it's unclear how long can Xander keep up appearances. A weary Xander breaks the news to Rose about Jasmine, but Rose's focus is on Cash. He must be suffering big time.

Elsewhere, too much free time is driving Roo nuts. Despite Marilyn's helpful suggestions, Roo doesn't want a simple hobby, she wants to make a difference in the world. Feeling for Roo, Alf suggests she go back to teaching – she loved that job.
