Felicity and Mackenzie gear up for their biggest poker night yet. Nathan arrives unannounced at Salt during regular service, sending Mackenzie into a panic. Ryder is sent out to get rid of him. However, Ryder returns with a convincing case to hear Nathan out – handing Mackenzie a huge envelope stuffed with cash.
Elated, Mackenzie speaks with Nathan. He cheerily explains that his luck turned around and he'll be coming to her next poker night to keep it going. It seems that Mackenzie's generosity was returned multiple times over. Keeping her promise to Alf, Mackenzie uses the money to pay her overdue rent.
It seems the money didn't come without strings, as Nathan brings along a friend, PK, who wants an invitation to the next poker night. Mackenzie apologetically explains that the night is full – there is already a waiting list, and guests need to be vetted.
What to Read Next
Nathan vouches for PK and asks Mackenzie to invite him as a favour. When this fails, PK offers to buy a seat at the table. Mackenzie just needs to name her price. Impressed with herself, Mackenzie tells Felicity that she needs to boot one of the players for tonight as PK will be joining instead.
Felicity is floored, explaining that these nights run on a respect basis and Mac can't just boot someone for a stranger, as it looks bad. However, Mac's mind is already made up.
Meanwhile, the Parata family give Mia a beautiful beach-side send off. Chloe hopes that Mia finds peace. Mia is grateful for her well wishes and looks ahead to the future. Chloe finally gets the closure she needs, turning a new page in her life.
Elsewhere, Marilyn points out to Alf that Martha is happier than she has seen her in a long time. Alf can't help but agree. Roo's new health kick sends her and Martha off walking all day. But the exhaustion hits Martha hard and Alf snaps at Roo for pushing too hard.
