Home and Away: Mac makes a move on Tane

Chloe and Ryder realise life without a job isn't as fun as it first seems. Chloe convinces Ryder to go and ask Mac for his job back. After Tane tells Chloe the truth about Mac, she tries to stop Ryder but arrives at Salt just as Mac is at her limit. She loses it, throwing out all the staff and patrons and closes the restaurant early.

Dean and Jasmine find everyone outside Salt and realise Mac needs help. They both try to talk to her about her snap decision to close Salt so suddenly, but Jasmine can see they're getting nowhere, while Mac believes Dean is just babying her again.

Jasmine offers to stay with Mac for comfort, which turns into a drinking session, forced upon her by a reckless Mac. Heavily intoxicated, Mac arrives on Tane's doorstep, demanding to see Ari, but with Ari away and Mac too drunk to listen, Tane is forced to take Mac's alcohol from her to get her out of the house to take her home.

At the same time, with Mac refusing to accept Ryder's apology or offer of work, Chloe and Ryder decide to make a list of things they're good at and see if they can come up with plan for their future work together.

Meanwhile, Jasmine's horror tarot reading replays in her mind and she wonders when she's going to catch a break. Irene does her best to convince Jasmine she shouldn't take any notice of any of Marilyn's 'hocus pocus'. After a few drinks with Mac, Jasmine heads to the Diner and tells Marilyn that she is ready to do a full tarot reading.

Elsewhere, Ziggy is excited to show Dean the front page of the paper, featuring the two of them in their newly crowned 'king and queen of the surf'. But Tane finds the whole situation hard to swallow.

Jasmine explains it to Ziggy later, helping her see how it may have made Tane feel. She explains herself to Tane, who also confesses about being out of his comfort zone with feelings of jealousy for the first time. Ziggy takes it all on board and reminds Tane that her and Dean are just friends.

Ziggy goes to see Dean later, with a framed front cover of the newspaper, explaining how proud Jai will be, because she used to feel the same way about her dad. Dean offers a beer and some TV with her before Amber and Jai get home. When Amber doesn't come home, Dean starts to wonder if everything is okay between them. Ziggy tells Dean she has an idea about why she has been acting so weird recently.
