Tori tries to rationalise Christian's out-of-body experience. She doesn't believe the depth of it and Christian finds it difficult to explain it all. Justin and Leah come home, which is a welcome distraction to the intense conversation between Tori and Christian. They finally announce their news about setting the date for their wedding, much to the delight of Justin and Leah.
When Tori and Christian have left, Leah wants to discuss Justin's issues in more depth, but he doesn't want a bar of it and refuses to talk. Justin feels like Leah threw him under the bus by disclosing to the doctor about the amount of medication he was taking. He feels humiliated by his actions, and forces Leah to promise that she won't tell Tori how severe his situation really is.
Tori and Christian continue to butt heads on Christian's brush with death. Tori can't see past her scientific experience with life after death, but Christian knows it's more than what science can explain.

When they see Jasmine later on, Christian takes the opportunity to query her on what happened when Tori was resuscitating him. When he mentions parts of the moment that neither Jasmine of Tori have told him, Jasmine is a more sympathetic ear. She offers Christian support but leaves him with little understanding about it.
Brody and Simone have agreed to hold the wedding at his vineyard, and with plans falling into place, Tori asks Leah to be her maid-of-honour. Overwhelmed, Christian retreats. He's finding life hard to focus on and seeing things differently with this new perspective.
Meanwhile, Jasmine arrives in at the Diner after Lewis's sentencing hearing, devastated and feeling lost. Roo and Marilyn try to sympathise with her, but Jasmine wishes she could have have seen how sick Lewis really was and wishes she could just cut a break.
When Jasmine talks to Marilyn and Roo about life after death, Marilyn convinces Jasmine to have a tarot reading. But when they sit down for the reading, a traumatic card comes out first, throwing Jasmine into a spin. Spooked, she flees.
Elsewhere, Nikau refuses to go back into the shoot until Bella gives him exactly the words of encouragement he needed. Back in the set, Nikau is ready to go. Emmett sets Bella a challenge to direct Nikau in his shoot. The gamble pays off and Nikau suddenly shines, impressing everyone.
Bella pulls the best out of Nikau and the agency suddenly sees the important connection between Bella and Nikau. Sienna is more than impressed with his shots, and Emmett's impressed with Bella's assistance on the shoot.
When Ryder and Chloe meet up with Nikau and Bella later that night, they discuss his day. A basket of goodies arrive at the door, with posh champagne chilled and everything. There's also a note telling Nikau he has just booked his first job. The foursome all agree it's time to celebrate. Their future is looking bright.
Elsewhere, Roo tries to gain the assistance of an unemployed Ryder and Chloe at the bait shop, but indulging in the freedom of being jobless is all too appealing for the young couple. Roo reminds them that unemployment isn't all that exciting when the cash flow dries up.
On the beach, Ryder and Chloe focus on enjoying their day without the distraction of life's responsibilities. Jasmine can't help but notice the young lovers frolicking in the water, which only highlights her lack of luck when it comes to finding love. By the end of the day, Ryder and Chloe realise they need to come up with a plan for their future together.
