Alf is dismayed when Martha fails to arrive after packing up her belongings at her old home. He fears that Martha has changed her mind at the last minute and won't be moving in after all, but Roo encourages him to stay positive. She is proven right when Martha arrives. However, Martha is stressed and on edge, which only builds Alf's belief that she's regretting her decision.
Seeing them arguing, Roo worries that the dream of her parents living together is over before it has begun. Martha finally admits to Alf that she was overwhelmed by packing up her old life. Alf carefully checks – is Martha sure she wants to live with him and Roo and Ryder? Martha is honest – yes, she knows how lucky she is to have this second chance. But she reminds Alf that her mental health issues are ongoing.
Alf reassures Martha that they can make this life together work. It's a relief for Roo – her parents are together, and nothing could give her greater joy.

Meanwhile, Justin struggles to wrap his head around the grim reality that Tori may never wake up from the coma. Thinking it might give him some comfort, Robbo suggests that Justin take Grace for the day. Justin babysits Grace in the pier apartment, and he's confronted by the absence of any photos or other signs of Tori in Grace's home.
